Dr. Navid Hakimian is a graduate of Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He was Chief Resident in ophthalmology at Stony Brook University Hospital in 1995 and completed a Fellowship in retinal diseases and surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1997. Dr. Hakimian specializes in diagnosing and treating retinal diseases of the eye.

Dr. Maayan Keshet graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha Society). She completed an ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center and completed her fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery and External Diseases. Dr. Keshet speaks Spanish, French and Hebrew and has operated on thousands of individuals in the New York City area.

Dr. Jerome Levy received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1966. Dr. Levy co-founded our on-site ambulatory surgery center, the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Greater New York, a Medicare-certified, same day surgery center licensed by the State of New York. Dr. Levy is also the co-founder of our practice and currently serves as the Surgeon Director. Dr. Levy has been an innovator in the field of ophthalmology for many years and he and his associate physicians serve more than 25,000 patients each year. Dr. Levy possesses a comprehensive knowledge of eye diseases and is especially passionate about helping those with diabetes.

Estela Ogiste, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Ogiste is a graduate of the Weill Medical College at Cornell University and earned her Ph.D. from the Rockefeller University. She is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Hospital and was the lead investigator for a Sight Savers Grant from the Congressional Glaucoma Caucus. Dr. Ogiste offers her patients clinical knowledge and expertise in all types of ophthalmic surgical and laser procedures.

Dr. Fiona Pathay is a 1997 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmic training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pathay is an Attending at Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital, where she has received numerous awards for clinical and surgical education of residents. Dr. Pathay is a well-trained diagnostician and proficient ophthalmic surgeon, who performs numerous ophthalmic lasers and cataract surgeries a year, many of which with premium intraocular lenses.

Dr. Damon Pettinelli is a highly experienced surgeon. He specializes in refractive surgery and complex cataract removal, having performed over 25,000 Cataract and LASIK procedures. Dr. Pettinelli also performed the first Laser Cataract Surgery in the Bronx. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at the prestigious New York University School of Medicine’s Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, and he has fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery from the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Pettinelli currently serves as the Medical Director for our affiliate, the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Greater New York and LASIK Plus.

Dr. Nathan Radcliffe is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He was the Chief Glaucoma Fellow during his fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and served as the Director of Glaucoma Services at Weill Cornell Medical College for six years. During his award-winning tenure in academics, Dr. Radcliffe managed some of the most challenging cataract and glaucoma cases referred to him from all over the world. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed publications in glaucoma research and has given over 500 lectures to thousands of ophthalmologists.

Dr. Tekie obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. He is fluent in Spanish and French and has provided eye care in numerous clinical settings in the United States and Puerto Rico
